Conference "Summary of the results of the first capacity auction and the role of communication in energy"
The conference "Summary of the results of the first capacity auction and the role of communication in energy" was organized by the Georgian Renewable Energy Development Association (GREDA) and Business Association of Georgia.
First Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Romeo Mikautadze, representatives of private and public organizations employed in the energy sector attended the conference.
Within the meeting the results of first power auction were summarized, also existing projects and memorandums were reviewed. Special attention was paid to the role and importance of communication in current and planned projects, which was discussed in detail by the Chairman of the GREDA Supervisory Board, Giorgi Abramishvili.
The head of CCEH's environmental and social direction, Nana Berdzenishvili, shared with the attendees the experience of Bakhvi HPP in matters of communication with stakeholders. Also, the head of USAID Georgia's Energy Future Assurance Program, Rob Taylor, spoke about the international experience of the importance of communication in the implementation of renewable energy generation projects.
The meeting was held in a question-and-answer mode, in which companies participating in the meeting were actively involved.
The objective of the event was to summarize the results of the CFD mechanism supporting renewable energy and to discuss the importance and role of communication with stakeholders.
