Nakhiduri HPP

LLC "Nakhiduri HPP" is implementing a project for the construction and operation of a 7.2 MW derivation-type hydroelectric power plant (Nakhiduri HPP) on the Khrami River in Bolnisi Municipality, on the border of Bolnisi and Tetritskaro municipalities, near the village of Nakhiduri.

The left bank of the Khrami River is included in the Tetritskaro municipality, and the right bank in the Bolnisi municipality. It includes: a head structure, a fish pass, a pressure pipeline, an above-ground HPP building and a discharge channel.

The project plans to install a day-night regulation type HPP. The headwaters are planned to be located at an elevation of 445 m above sea level, and an 18 m high spillway dam is planned. The hydroelectric power plant will generate 51 million kWh, the construction period is 30 months, and the investment in the project is 16 million USD. The project was implemented with the support of the Bank of Georgia.

The completion and commissioning of the facility is planned for 2026. Unlike other energy projects currently underway in Georgia, the Nakhiduri HPP is regulated and we believe it is very necessary and important for the Georgian energy system.
