8th World Forum on Energy Regulation

Executive Director of GREDA, Maya Melikidze participated in the 8th World Forum on Energy Regulation held in Peru.

Within the panel discussion, the participants talked about the potential of renewable energy, the role of energy regulators and the importance of communication, various regulatory schemes were also discussed at the meeting.

Within the framework of the International Confederation of Energy Regulators (ICER), the World Forum on Energy Regulation (WFER) has been held every 3 years since 2000. The WFER assembles key players in the energy industry, high-level decision makers, academics, and regulators from across the globe to engage in strategic energy discussions on different regulatory schemes. In 2026, Georgia will host the World Forum on Energy Regulation. One of the main topics of the forum will be Georgia's energy potential and investment environment.
