Renewable Georgia 2022 conference opened in Tbilisi



Renewable Georgia 2022 conference opened its doors at Biltmore Hotel in Tbilisi today. Organized by The Voice of Renewables with the support of GREDA the two-day conference brings together the representatives of public and private sectors, financial institutions, and key market players of the energy sector.


The conference began with the keynote addresses from David Songhulashvili, the Member of the Parliament of Georgia, Chairman of the Committee on Sectoral Economics and Economic Policy of the Parliament, as well as Giorgi Abramishvili, GREDA Supervisory Board Chairman who both highlighted the vital importance of enhancing Georgia’s energy independence and energy security.


During the two-day event, eight-panel discussions will be held, covering the key topics relevant to Georgia’s energy market, such as updates in Georgian renewable energy development policy, hydropower development in Georgia: opportunities and challenges, integration of renewable energy into the Georgian energy system, solar and wind energy development in Georgia: opportunities and challenges, meeting environmental and community responsibilities in the planning, construction and operation of hydropower facilities, Sustaining investors’ appetite – creating forward-thinking business opportunities for renewable energy projects in Georgia, the future of renewable energy in Georgia, etc.
